This painting illustrates a scene from one of my favourite books, Emily Bronte's 'Wuthering Heights', where Heathcliff driven mad from the loss of Catherine Earnshaw digs her grave to exhume her body. He sees her as she was in life, vibrant and full of life, however in reality she is a corpse. I painted this in acrylics based on photographs that I took.
